GUJARAT: The Chief Minister of Gujarat has conducted a review of the development progress in the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), underlining the state’s plan to transform Dholera into a top industrial hub for advanced sectors like semiconductor, electronics, and clean technology manufacturing. During the visit, the Chief Minister highlighted the need to fast-track ongoing infrastructure work, including internal roads, water supply systems, power connections, and essential utility services to ensure industries can set up quickly without delays.

This review is part of Gujarat’s commitment under the Make in India initiative, focusing on creating industry-ready zones with modern infrastructure that can attract domestic and global investors. The CM emphasized that developing Dholera with reliable infrastructure will help position Gujarat as a preferred state for high-tech industries, supporting the country’s goals of building a robust electronics and semiconductor ecosystem.

The review also included plans for green spaces, sustainable waste management, and smart city services to ensure industries and residents in Dholera benefit from a clean, well-managed environment. By prioritizing these development goals, the Gujarat government aims to generate skilled employment opportunities for local youth while promoting ease of doing business in the state.

This focused push to advance Dholera’s development is expected to strengthen investor confidence and accelerate the region’s transformation into a modern industrial city, supporting Gujarat’s ambition to become a leader in advanced manufacturing and sustainable urban development in India.
