Concept Note Prepared for Dholera’s Industrial Development
GUJARAT: Government officials and planning authorities have prepared a detailed concept note to guide the proposed industrial development of Dholera, marking an essential step in the region’s structured growth journey. The concept note outlines strategies to position Dholera as a future hub for industrial activities, including semiconductor, electronics, and advanced manufacturing sectors, while ensuring infrastructure and policy frameworks align with global investment standards.
This document includes proposed connectivity plans to link Dholera efficiently with Gujarat’s major ports, highways, and rail networks, ensuring seamless logistics for industries and reducing transit times for goods. It also discusses zoning plans to allocate land for industrial, residential, and green spaces, aiming to develop Dholera as a sustainable and organized urban-industrial hub.
The concept note highlights the importance of creating reliable infrastructure, such as water supply, drainage systems, wide internal roads, and uninterrupted power connectivity, to support the operational needs of high-tech industries. It also emphasizes the integration of smart city features, including ICT systems, smart grids, and environmental monitoring, to align Dholera’s development with India’s Smart Cities Mission and Make in India goals.
Authorities have detailed policy frameworks in the note to ensure transparent land allocation, simplified approval processes, and clear guidelines to attract domestic and international investors. This proactive planning approach is expected to create job opportunities for the local population while reinforcing Gujarat’s position as a forward-looking industrial state.
The preparation of this concept note marks a foundational milestone in transforming Dholera into a globally competitive, sustainable, and investment-ready industrial region, setting the stage for structured and technology-driven growth in the years ahead.
