GUJARAT: State transport authorities have reviewed the current and proposed road connectivity plans for Dholera to strengthen its link with nearby industrial zones, ports, and logistic corridors. This review aims to prepare Dholera for future industrial growth by ensuring reliable and efficient transportation routes for goods and services.

The discussion focused on upgrading existing roads, planning new highway connections, and improving link roads within Dholera to handle the expected rise in industrial and cargo traffic. Special attention is being given to seamless connectivity with major ports to facilitate export-oriented industries and reduce transport costs for manufacturers.

Officials emphasized that enhancing road connectivity is essential for Dholera’s role in Gujarat’s industrial strategy, ensuring smooth movement of raw materials and finished products. Better roads will also support emergency services, employee commute, and supply chain efficiency for semiconductor, electronics, and other advanced industries planning to set up in Dholera.

This connectivity improvement aligns with Gujarat’s infrastructure development goals under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and the state’s plan to position Dholera as a major hub for manufacturing and exports. Improved roads will not only attract new investments but also create local job opportunities by enabling industries to operate efficiently.

As Dholera evolves into a future-ready industrial city, these planned road enhancements will play a key role in its economic development, supporting sustainable growth while improving logistic convenience for industries in the region.
