GANDHINAGAR: The Gujarat government has taken a significant step to prepare Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) for industries by signing agreements with construction firms to begin trunk infrastructure development in the area. This includes building wide internal roads for heavy transport, a reliable water supply network for industries, and an effective stormwater drainage system to prevent flooding during monsoon seasons.

These projects will ensure that semiconductor, electronics, and advanced manufacturing industries coming to Dholera will have ready access to clean water, well-maintained roads, and drainage facilities, which are crucial for high-tech factories to operate efficiently. By developing these facilities early, Gujarat is working to reduce the waiting time for companies planning to set up factories, helping them start operations faster without delays.

Dholera, located within the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), is planned as a smart industrial city that can attract global and domestic investors looking to expand their semiconductor and electronics manufacturing in India. The new roads will improve the movement of goods and workers, while the water and drainage systems will support smooth industrial operations, ensuring environmental safety and compliance.
