GANDHINAGAR: The Gujarat government has launched a clear skill development roadmap for Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) to prepare a skilled workforce for industries planning to set up in the area. This step aims to train local youth and workers with the technical skills needed for semiconductor, electronics, and high-tech manufacturing industries, ensuring that industries coming to Dholera will have access to a ready talent pool.

The skill training plan will include specialized courses in semiconductor manufacturing, electronics assembly, advanced machinery operations, and cleanroom protocols. These programs will be developed in partnership with industry experts and training institutes, ensuring the training aligns with the latest technologies and industry standards.

This initiative aligns with the Make in India and Skill India missions, focusing on reducing the skill gap and supporting industries with a trained workforce to begin operations quickly and efficiently in Dholera. It will also help create local employment opportunities, supporting economic growth while enhancing Gujarat’s competitiveness as a hub for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.
