DHOLERA: The Government of Gujarat has officially sanctioned and notified Town Planning (TP) Schemes 1 through 6 under the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), marking a major milestone in the rollout of the region’s smart industrial infrastructure.

These six TP Schemes cover a combined area of approximately 422 square kilometers, enabling legal land-use categorization across industrial corridors, logistics zones, residential clusters, commercial hubs, and green buffer areas. The formal notification came under the Dholera Special Investment Region Act and was led by the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB) in collaboration with the DSIRDA.

Each TP scheme includes:

A zoning map aligned with the Dholera master plan

Road networks, open spaces, and utility corridors

Land pooling and readjustment mechanisms for fair and transparent land assembly

This structured planning provides clarity for infrastructure rollout, ensures alignment with flood safety and environmental norms, and simplifies investor allotments and approvals. It also marks a transition from vision to on-ground execution, opening the doors for private developers and public infrastructure agencies to begin work.

The approval of these TP Schemes reflects the government’s long-term commitment to making Dholera a world-class smart industrial city under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) framework.
