Dholera Node Finalized under DMIC Master Plan
DELHI :Dholera has been officially marked as one of the eight strategic industrial nodes in the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) master plan. This designation grants the region priority access to central government funding, fast-tracked infrastructure development, and global investor interest.
Planned as a multi-sector industrial hub, Dholera will play a key role in India's goal of building next-generation smart cities. The node will include world-class logistics systems, industrial zones, and seamless connectivity through expressways, rail networks, and port linkages. Its location offers significant advantages for trade and manufacturing, particularly due to its proximity to Gujarat’s coastline.
The DMIC master plan outlines Dholera's development in phases, focusing on creating an ecosystem that supports industries, housing, and high-quality urban services. The vision includes the development of industrial clusters, green infrastructure, sustainable transport systems, and modern utility services—all designed to international standards.
With this confirmation under the DMIC framework, Dholera is expected to attract both domestic and international investments across sectors such as electronics, automotive, renewable energy, and heavy engineering. Dedicated industrial zones, plug-and-play facilities, and streamlined approvals are part of the plan to support ease of doing business.
The designation reinforces the government's vision of making Dholera a global investment destination and a model for integrated urban-industrial development. As one of the earliest smart city initiatives under the corridor, Dholera is now set to lead India’s journey toward future-ready economic zones.
