GANDHINAGAR: On July 19, 2023, at 10:00 IST, Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) reached a new milestone by completing its first hotel plot auction, marking the entry of the hospitality sector into India’s first greenfield industrial smart city.

The auction, organized by Dholera Industrial City Development Limited (DICDL), offered Plot 307 (Part) situated in the High Access Corridor Zone of the Activation Area (TP Scheme No. 2A). After evaluating several online applications, three bidders were shortlisted, with M/s Aju Ryokan NCR Pvt. Ltd. securing the plot through a competitive bidding process for hotel development.

Led by Inder Yadav and Prakash Yadav, M/s Aju Ryokan NCR Pvt. Ltd. is part of the AJU Japanese Group of Hotels, which operates hotels in Gurugram, Manesar, Neemrana, Ahmedabad, and Vithlapur. With this new project, the group plans to extend its hospitality services to Dholera, supporting the growing industrial and business ecosystem in the region.

A senior DICDL official shared that this auction represents a significant step in strengthening Dholera’s social infrastructure, complementing the ongoing industrial and urban development within the SIR. The presence of hospitality facilities will provide essential services for businesses and visitors, encouraging more industries to set up operations in the region.

In line with its vision to develop Dholera as a holistic urban hub, 228 acres within the SIR have been allocated for tourism and leisure infrastructure. This strategic move is designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and support economic activity in the area.

Dholera SIR continues to position itself as a prime investment destination in Gujarat, equipped with advanced infrastructure and seamless connectivity through highways, rail, metro, and the upcoming Dholera International Airport, all while promoting sustainable and organized growth in the state.
