GUJARAT: The Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) has started its initial phase of master planning to shape the region as a future-ready industrial and urban hub under Gujarat’s long-term development strategy. This planning phase includes detailed zoning plans for industrial, residential, and commercial zones while mapping critical infrastructure such as roads, drainage, power supply, and water distribution systems to ensure systematic growth.

The master plan will focus on creating well-defined industrial zones specifically suited for high-tech industries like semiconductor manufacturing, electronics production, and advanced engineering, ensuring that Dholera can accommodate modern industries with dedicated utility corridors, logistics facilities, and green spaces. Additionally, the plan will incorporate smart city features, including integrated ICT networks, efficient waste management systems, and sustainable urban mobility plans to support both industrial activities and the needs of residents.

This early master planning phase is crucial in laying a strong foundation for Dholera’s growth, ensuring that all developments align with environmental sustainability and efficient land use while supporting Gujarat’s vision to position Dholera as a key investment destination under the Make in India mission. By prioritizing clear layouts and utility planning, the region will be ready to welcome industries, investors, and residents in an organized and planned manner, reducing delays in project execution.

As the planning progresses, it will attract domestic and international investors seeking a well-planned industrial environment, enabling Dholera to emerge as a significant contributor to Gujarat’s industrial landscape while creating new job opportunities and fostering economic growth in the state.
