Dholera, Gujarat, India:
Authorities and industry stakeholders have proposed the development of dedicated skill development and training centers in Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) to prepare a skilled workforce for upcoming industrial projects.

The proposed centers aim to focus on training in semiconductor manufacturing, electronics assembly, precision engineering, and advanced industrial operations. These programs are intended to align workforce skills with the specific requirements of companies planning to set up operations in Dholera.

Officials stated that discussions include collaboration with technical institutes, industry partners, and skill development agencies to design industry-relevant training modules. Emphasis will be placed on practical training, certification programs, and on-the-job skill enhancement.

The initiative is expected to benefit local youth and workers from nearby regions by improving employability and providing access to specialized technical skills. It will also help industries reduce dependence on imported talent and accelerate project commissioning timelines.

Industry experts believe that early investment in skill development infrastructure will strengthen Dholera’s appeal as a long-term manufacturing hub, particularly for high-tech sectors such as semiconductors and electronics.

The proposal aligns with Dholera SIR’s broader vision of creating an integrated industrial ecosystem that combines world-class infrastructure, skilled manpower, and sustainable economic growth.
